In 2021, we set out to build a listener-led collective — bringing audio creators, gamers, and everyday listeners together. They asked for a truly versatile device, so we co-built it with them, from first idea to prototype to final design. Their feedback shaped every decision.

To connect on a deep level and give everyone a direct hand in the product experience, we embraced new digital ownership technology to connect with our collective. Each member received a free digital version of our product, redeemable for the physical SANWEAR, enabling participation from anywhere while protecting their privacy. As the physical and digital worlds converge, this approach lets us create together without borders and ensures the community is part of every stage.

In March 2023, we opened prototyping to the public. We shipped hundreds of SANWEAR Test Type earbud units to 22 countries across three testing phases. The community also chose which creators, producers, and gamers should test, and their notes drove every refinement.

Now SAN is in over 50 countries and we're just getting started.
