HARDWIRE x Soundscape: Audio That Evolves

Apps like the Soundscape are often described as companion apps for similar in-ear headphones; but not for SANWEAR. Rather than acting as a simple control panel or settings menu, Soundscape is the platform that allows SANWEAR’s internal hardware to be configured, reconfigured, updated, and expanded over time.

HARDWIRE x Soundscape: Audio That Evolves

Unlocking & Evolving Audio

One look across your options and you’ll find that most headphones with companion apps tend to function only as control panels: EQ sliders and custom profiles, noise cancellation toggles, and the occasional firmware updates. Once you get the hardware, that’s all there is until you get the new one.

There isn’t anything inherently flawed with that approach since, for most products, hardware is designed to do one thing and the app serves more as fine-tune controls that augments the user’s experience. However, we see things differently.

SANWEAR earbuds are designed for the user experience to evolve over time. Not through continuous minor hardware upgrades every year, as has become the trend in tech, but through meaningful updates that continue to redefine how we experience sound. This is what led to increased integration of SANWEAR-HARDWIRE and Soundscape app as interwoven entities.

Rewiring Wired

HARDWIRE was designed to become something more than traditional wired earbuds. At the core of HARDWIRE lies the Audio Cortex, a compact internal architecture that manages all systems of the sound processing chain independently, ensuring excellent and consistent sound fidelity regardless of the device.

Inside the Audio Cortex are several components working together that includes a dedicated DAC that converts digital audio while retaining the highest fidelity into a clean analog signal. An onboard DSP stores EQ modes and preferences, and processes audio configurations directly from the device. And an amplifier with enough power to provide the energy for both our next gen planar-dynamic driver, and all components within the Audio Cortex.

Other systems include the adaptive ENC microphone processor that learns and adapts to your voice the more you use it, and customizable RGB lighting and programmable action button so your HARDWIRE controls can be unique to you.

This gives HARDWIRE what wired earbuds lack: more power and modern conveniences. The hardware is already more than capable of delivering greater detail, extreme dynamic range, and unmatched bass control. However with Soundscape, the possibilities can truly become endless.

Soundscape, Reconfigured

Apps like the Soundscape are often described as companion apps for similar in-ear headphones; but not for SANWEAR. Rather than acting as a simple control panel or settings menu, Soundscape is the platform that allows SANWEAR’s internal hardware to be configured, reconfigured, updated, and expanded over time.

Through Soundscape, users can switch between sound configurations designed for different listening scenarios, adjust between our Open World and Game Modes and custom EQ profiles, all to fine tune sound to their liking. These profiles are stored in the Audio Cortex and work across all devices.

The amplifier in the Audio Cortex is powerful. By default, it’s set to limit the amount of power supplied to the drivers. This keeps the volume at a safe level for most users, but some people want more. In the Soundscape, you can sign a waiver to turn on Level 11, unlocking the full potential of the amp..

The Action Button can be remapped to control far more functions than pause and play such as switching between sound profiles, and activating any (and all) the additional features we add or unlock in the HARDWIRE.

Regular firmware updates ensure that our hardware can continue to keep up and evolve with the latest devices released yearly. All can be delivered through the app without requiring new hardware, including improvements such as:

  • Sound tuning

  • Device stability

  • Compatibility

  • Power efficiency

  • And many more capabilities that we will unlock as we fine-tune them.

Built to Last, Designed to Grow

Modern devices are made to be disposable; designed for obsolescence. We choose the road only few other companies tread.

We designed HARDWIRE to be a long-term platform. Its hardware foundation, from the next gen Planar-Dynamic driver, to the Audio Cortex architecture containing the onboard DSP and amplification systems, was built with enough headroom to support the foreseeable future in audio.

Soundscape ensures SANWEAR can continue to adapt. Through firmware updates and further software development, our evolving system can deliver new features, support evolving listening habits, maintain compatibility with newly released devices, and introduce improvements that either refine or optimize hardware performance over time.

Our goal is simple: build the right hardware, and support it with software that keeps it living, and evolving with you.

Our reason is equally simple: to build hardware that lasts.
